Angeles was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tango, Folklore and Classical music were always present in her home. Her parents circle of friends used to hang out at her place very often so she grew up surrounded by many of the composers, musicians, poets and singers you can enjoy in the recordings today when you are tango dancing.
She started training in ballet, folk dances and gymnastics at the age of 5, and in 1996 she completely fell in love with tango dance, which she'd studied, practiced and danced on a daily basis since then, going from classes to practices to milongas, living the authentic tango scene of Buenos Aires in the 1990's
Today, 16 years after that, she has become one of the most exquisite female dancers in the world, bringing to this dance all the passion of her personality in a perfect combination between traditional, modern and stage tango techniques. Her style is very unique, sensual, feminine, playful and powerful emphasizing always the role of the woman in the dance
Growing up in Moscow, Russia, ballroom dance was the type of formal training Michael's received and after competing for almost 20 years all over the world and winning a few National titles and awards both in Russia and US, he felt the need for another form of expression through the dance... the form in which dance could be free and improvised, where music is your true inspiration and the reason for moving, where harmony and connection with your partner is what ultimately matters! The form where people do not fake the dance but being honest on the dance floor, where one respects the pause in the song that's playing and one has the ears to really listen before rushing to interpret it with the body. And so Argentine Tango entered into Michael's life...
